About Me
Dr. Pradeep Ramulu is a glaucoma specialist and the director of the Wilmer Eye Institute glaucoma division. He specializes in caring for both routine and complex glaucomas, including glaucomas requiring repeat operations, glaucoma occurring in the context of corneal or retinal disease, and glaucoma occurring in newborns and young children. The Sheila K. West Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Dr. Ramulu joined Wilmer in 2006 after completing residency and fellowship training.
Dr. Ramulu's research focuses on understanding how glaucoma affects patients' daily lives, including difficulties with reading, walking, falling, driving, and traveling outside the home. His work is directed toward developing rehabilitative strategies for individuals with severe vision loss from glaucoma and creating recommendations to improve the safety and quality of life for all patients with glaucoma.
