Dr. Parinaz Shams

Miss Pari Shams is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon based in London, with over 20 years of experience specializing in eyelid, lacrimal, and orbital surgery. She provides comprehensive care for conditions affecting the eyelids, brow, cheek, eye socket, and tear duct system, including both functional and cosmetic procedures such as ptosis repair, blepharoplasty, thyroid eye disease management, and tear duct surgery.

Dr. Shams graduated with distinction from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Science with first class honours. She completed advanced fellowship training in oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery at world-leading institutions, including the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Since her appointment as a full-time consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital in 2014, she has been instrumental in developing oculoplastic services and works within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Dr. Shams is actively involved in clinical research and education, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed publications and training future surgeons through fellowship programmes.
