Dr. Omar Abdelmegid

Dr. Omar Abdelmegid (also known as Dr. Helmy) is an ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care, treating conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, pterygiums, and dry eyes. He also helps patients with glasses and contact lenses. Dr. Abdelmegid is dedicated to staying current with the latest technology and medical advances to offer the best possible care to each patient.

Dr. Abdelmegid believes in active listening and building trust with his patients through empathy and emotional support. He strives to empower patients to take an active role in their health by providing clear information and involving them in treatment decisions.

Dr. Abdelmegid earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, and completed his ophthalmology residency at UMass Memorial Eye Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. His passion for ophthalmology was inspired by family members in the field and the significant improvements in quality of life that eye care can provide.
