Dr. Natalie Brossard Barbosa

Dr. Natalie Brossard Barbosa is a neuro-ophthalmologist at the Flaum Eye Institute who cares for adults with complex visual symptoms that don’t fit neatly into a single diagnosis. Patients see her for double vision, unexplained vision loss, and optic nerve disorders, as well as adult strabismus. She takes a careful, stepwise approach—listening to your story, coordinating testing, and explaining how eye and brain conditions can overlap—so you know what each result means.

Originally from Uruguay, Dr. Brossard Barbosa earned a master’s degree in cellular and molecular biology and completed medical school and ophthalmology residency training before pursuing subspecialty fellowships in Toronto and at the University of Rochester. She is active in education and has presented at national neuro-ophthalmology meetings. Her goal is to deliver answers and relief where possible, and to support patients with clear plans and communication when conditions require long-term monitoring.
