About Me
Dr. Aswad is a board-certified ophthalmologist and corneal specialist who provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. He has a special interest in treating corneal disease and external eye conditions, and he offers advanced cataract surgery using femtosecond laser technology and premium intraocular lens implants. Dr. Aswad practices general ophthalmology alongside his subspecialty work, addressing a wide range of vision needs.
Dr. Aswad completed his medical degree, internship, and initial ophthalmology residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center in Lebanon. He went on to complete a residency and fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in teaching ophthalmology residents from Boston University and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and he formerly served as an assistant professor in ophthalmology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
Dr. Aswad is currently on staff at Steward Norwood Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He is fluent in Arabic and French.
