About Me
Dr. Michelle M. Kron-Gray, MD, PhD, is an ophthalmologist who specializes in small-incision cataract surgery and provides comprehensive eye examinations. She helps patients understand whether cataracts are affecting their vision, reviews lens and surgical options, and creates a plan tailored to daily activities such as reading, driving, and screen use.
Dr. Kron-Gray earned her medical degree and a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Michigan, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, after graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Williams College with a biology degree. She completed an internship at Presence Health Resurrection in Chicago and then an ophthalmology residency at the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan, serving as graduate chief resident. She has presented nationally and published research on cataract-surgery topics such as antibiotic use and factors linked to complications, as well as improving surgical training. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
