About Me
Dr. Michael Wildes is a cornea and cataract specialist at the UCHealth Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Eye Center. He cares for patients with corneal disease and ocular surface disorders and offers a full range of surgical options, including cataract surgery and corneal transplantation, as well as refractive procedures. His care philosophy centers on empathy, partnership, and ensuring every patient understands their diagnosis and choices so they can make informed decisions.Dr. Wildes completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado, followed by a cornea/external disease fellowship at the University of Colorado. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to patient care, he serves in clinical leadership and is a member of national ophthalmic societies. He welcomes referrals for complex corneal conditions, cataracts, and second opinions.
