About Me
Dr. Michael Kutryb is an ophthalmologist who has wanted to be an eye doctor since high school. Growing up in a medical family in St. Louis, Missouri, he learned from his father, a general practitioner, that being a physician is a way of life where patients should be treated like precious members of one's own family. Today, he is living his lifelong dream and absolutely loves his job.
Dr. Kutryb was active in sports and academics during his education. He attended St. Louis University for his undergraduate studies, where he played baseball and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He then received the Medicine Curators’ Scholarship to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, where he graduated Cum Laude and was awarded the John Busseler Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology. He also performed hundreds of hours of research at the university's Mason Institute of Ophthalmology Research.
After completing his internship and ophthalmology residency at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Dr. Kutryb entered private practice. He now practices in Central Florida, where he hopes to continue for another 30 years. He stays mentally and physically fit through triathlon racing, tennis, and golf. He is blessed with a wonderful wife and three daughters, and his goal is to provide them with a happy, loving home.
