Dr. Michael Caruso

Dr. Michael J. Caruso is an optometrist at Saratoga Ophthalmology, providing comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and diagnosis and management of ocular diseases for patients of all ages. He has a special interest in hard-to-fit contact lenses, including scleral lenses for individuals with irregular or post-surgical corneas.

Dr. Caruso earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Stonehill College and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry, graduating with clinical honors. He completed externship training at several institutions, including Boston Medical Center, Providence VA Medical Center, South End Community Health Center, and Eye Centers of South Florida. After his training, Dr. Caruso moved to the capital region of New York, where he has been practicing as a primary care optometrist, offering pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients.
