About Me
Dr. Michael A. Cassell is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. He practices at Sabates Eye Centers, serving patients in the Kansas City area. His special clinical interests include age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, and vitreoretinal surgery. Dr. Cassell also supervises clinical trials at Sabates Eye Centers and the Vision Research Center of Kansas City.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Cassell serves as an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where he is involved in resident and fellowship education as a program director. He has been practicing with Sabates Eye Centers since 2004 and is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri.
