About Me

Dr. Matthew Wilde is a fellowship-trained retina specialist who provides both medical and surgical care for diseases that affect the back of the eye. He treats diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular conditions, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and retinal detachments, and also manages complex secondary intraocular lens needs. Patients value his thorough evaluations and evidence-based treatment plans, informed by his participation as a sub-investigator in multiple national clinical trials. Dr. Wilde graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University, earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida, and finished a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Retina & Vitreous of Texas.
