About Me
Dr. Matthew Brucks is originally from Vernon, British Columbia. He completed a Bachelor of Science at Burman University in Alberta before earning his medical degree and finishing residency training at Loma Linda University in California. During his education, he volunteered with outreach clinics and went on mission trips to Malaysia and Zambia. Dr. Brucks then undertook a fellowship in Orbital, Oculoplastic and Neuro-ophthalmic Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
After moving back to British Columbia in 2016, Dr. Brucks has been serving the Northwest community in Terrace. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia, teaching medical students and residents. Dr. Brucks treats a wide range of comprehensive eye diseases and performs functional and cosmetic oculoplastic surgery. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Canadian Ophthalmological Society.
