About Me
Dr. Mary Louise Collins serves as the Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Eye Center at GBMC, where she provides comprehensive ophthalmic care and surgery for pediatric patients. She has a special clinical interest in amblyopia (lazy eye), lacrimal (tear duct) disorders, and strabismus (eye misalignment) in both children and adults. Her approach focuses on delivering thorough, compassionate eye care to help young patients achieve optimal vision and eye health.
In her leadership role, Dr. Collins has worked to expand and improve access to primary eye care services on the GBMC campus while supporting both comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmology staff. She is also committed to advancing the academic and teaching mission of the Eye Center. Since 1993, Dr. Collins has served as the consulting ophthalmologist at The Maryland School for the Blind, reflecting her dedication to serving patients with visual impairments and special needs.
Dr. Collins provides care at the Eye Center at GBMC, located in Towson, Maryland. She works closely with families to address a wide range of pediatric eye conditions, from routine eye exams to more specialized surgical treatments.
