About Me
Dr. Malvika Arya is a surgical retina specialist committed to delivering skilled, personalized, and compassionate eye care. She earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the Krieger Eye Institute, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where she served as Chief Resident.
She further specialized with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of California San Diego, concurrently earning a mini-MBA focused on the business of healthcare. Dr. Arya has an extensive research background in retinal imaging and vitreoretinal diseases, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and presenting at national and international conferences. She also serves as a peer reviewer for renowned retina journals.
An active member of professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and Women in Ophthalmology, she is dedicated to advancing eye health. Originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, she enjoys volunteering, exploring New York City's culinary scene, traveling, staying active, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
