About Me
Muhamad Akram Festok, MD, is a second-year fellow in vitreoretinal surgery at the Israel Englander Department of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medicine. He is currently training in the diagnosis and management of vitreoretinal and macular diseases. His fellowship provides advanced surgical training in retinal conditions.
Dr. Festok completed his residency training at Yale New Haven Health Hospital in New Haven, CT, and Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He completed his internship at Western Reserve Health Education/NEOMED in Trumbull, Ohio. His undergraduate education was at Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Israel Englander Department of Ophthalmology offers comprehensive eye care, including vitreoretinal and macular disease services. Dr. Festok is part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of ophthalmology through education and training.
