About Me
Dr. Louis J. Schott is a fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts. He provides comprehensive care for patients with these conditions at MidWest Eye Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
After completing undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Virginia and medical school at Ohio State University, Dr. Schott undertook an internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. He then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he later served as an assistant professor of ophthalmology.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Schott has been a volunteer assistant clinical professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, teaching ophthalmology residents and medical students. He has also been involved in clinical research on glaucoma treatments and has participated in medical missionary work in Mexico, the Philippines, and Haiti.
