Dr. Lori Travers

Dr. Lori Travers is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has performed more than 70,000 laser vision correction procedures since 1999, placing her among the top 1% of ophthalmologists in this specialty worldwide. She is the founder and surgeon at Travers Lasik Vision Care in Raleigh, North Carolina, a practice dedicated exclusively to laser vision correction.

Dr. Travers earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology and her M.D. from Georgetown University, where she also completed her residency in ophthalmology. Pursuing advanced training, she studied with a pioneer in femtosecond laser technology. After serving as medical director at LasikPlus, she established her own practice in 2008, making it the only privately owned clinic in the Raleigh area specializing in laser vision correction. Patients travel from across North Carolina and surrounding states to receive care from Dr. Travers.
