About Me

Dr. Kasey Pierson is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea specialist at Berks Eye Physicians & Surgeons. His practice is dedicated to state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment of a wide range of eye conditions. He has extensive experience in routine and complex cataract surgery, including the latest intraocular lens implants to reduce dependence on glasses. With a focus on the cornea, Dr. Pierson provides expert care for dry eye disease, corneal dystrophies, and performs advanced corneal transplant procedures such as DSAEK, DMEK, and PK.

Dr. Pierson completed his ophthalmology residency at The Medical College of Virginia, where he served as chief resident, followed by a cornea and anterior segment fellowship at the prestigious Cincinnati Eye Institute. He is also an active clinical researcher with numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on corneal transplantation and other anterior segment diseases.
