About Me
Dr. Jonathan Huz is a retina specialist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for retinal conditions. He is originally from Albany, NY, and completed his undergraduate studies at Brandeis University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Biology.
He earned his medical degree at the New York University School of Medicine, where he actively participated in volunteer work through the organization Unite For Sight, performing vision screenings on New York City’s underserved population. Dr. Huz completed a combined internal medicine and general surgery internship at New York Hospital Queens, a teaching affiliate of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year and received awards for both clinical and academic excellence. He further specialized with a vitreoretinal fellowship at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Huz has presented at national meetings and has conducted research on “Clinical Outcomes of Staphylococcus aureus Endophthalmitis” as well as “Outcomes of Resident Performed Mature Cataract Surgery”. He is also presently involved with industry sponsored clinical trials for Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy, offering patients access to cutting-edge treatments.
