About Me
Dr. John Carmody is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive eye care including cataract, cornea, and refractive (LASIK) surgery. He completed fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and keratorefractive surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, providing him with advanced expertise in these areas. Dr. Carmody provides routine eye examinations and diabetic glaucoma management as part of his practice.
Dr. Carmody is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Shreveport Medical Society, and Louisiana State Medical Society. His practice is dedicated to providing each patient individualized and compassionate care as well as the most up-to-date surgical therapeutic options available.
