About Me
Dr. Jiun Do, MD, PhD is a glaucoma specialist and clinician-scientist at the Shiley Eye Institute. He provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for all stages of glaucoma, from careful medical management and monitoring to surgical solutions when pressure control requires an intervention. In addition to offering the latest minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, he is experienced in conventional operations for complex or advanced disease.Dr. Do completed his MD and a PhD in Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego, followed by ophthalmology residency at the USC Roski Eye Institute and a glaucoma fellowship at UC San Diego’s Shiley Eye Institute and the Hamilton Glaucoma Center. His research focuses on restoring vision lost to glaucoma, including approaches to optic-nerve repair and retinal ganglion cell replacement.
