About Me
Dr. Jeremy Reitinger is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, where he also serves as a clinical assistant professor and oversees the ophthalmology inpatient consult service. He provides full-spectrum eye care for adults, from routine exams and glasses updates to the diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other common conditions. Patients value his thoughtful explanations and collaborative approach to treatment decisions.
Originally from Colorado Springs, Dr. Reitinger earned his undergraduate degree in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder and his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident and participated in a leadership-in-medicine program. Outside of clinic, he enjoys running, fishing, skiing, and staying active outdoors—experiences that reinforce his commitment to preserving and protecting his patients’ vision.
