About Me
Dr. Jennifer Scruggs is a board-certified ophthalmologist and one of the few subspecialty-trained oculoplastic surgeons in Arkansas. Her practice focuses on both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, orbit (eye socket), and lacrimal system (tear duct). She treats patients with conditions resulting from aging, systemic disease, trauma, cancer, and congenital defects.
Before returning to her hometown of Little Rock, Dr. Scruggs served for more than eight years as the Director of Oculoplastic Surgery and an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. There she built a large referral practice, taught residents and medical students, and lectured at local and national meetings. She completed a two-year fellowship accredited by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she received the Faculty Key and Roberts Key for outstanding academic achievement.
Dr. Scruggs is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and serves as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. Her approach combines the meticulous nature of eye surgery with the creativity of plastic surgery to address functional and aesthetic concerns of the eyelids and surrounding structures.
