Dr. Jared Thurston

Dr. Thurston brings a superior level of eye care to the local community and surrounding areas. He is highly trained and skilled in monitoring and treating medical eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, foreign body removal, and evaluation of work-related and other injuries.

He provides a variety of treatment options involving medical management of eye diseases as well as eye surgery for both minor and complex disorders. Eyeglasses and contact lenses are available for purchase through the practice's optical shop, Oasis Optical.

Dr. Thurston is a board certified ophthalmic clinician and surgeon. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in biology from California State University, Northridge where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and his Medical Degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center and his Ophthalmology Residency Training Program at LSU/Ochsner in New Orleans, Louisiana.
