Dr. James Harkins

Dr. Patrick Harkins is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who has been with Waco Eye Associates since 2010. He provides a wide range of medical and surgical eye care, with a particular focus on cataract surgery and eyelid procedures.

Dr. Harkins was raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Mississippi. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed his ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center and Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans.

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Harkins manages both common and complex eye problems. He is skilled in cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implants and performs eyelid surgeries including blepharoplasty, ectropion repair, and entropion repair.
