About Me
James Plotnik, MD, FACS, is a pediatric ophthalmologist at Phoenix Children's who provides comprehensive eye care to children and adults with strabismus. Dr. Plotnik has more than 20 years of experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of common, complex and rare eye conditions.
Dr. Plotnik is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and also a fellow of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American College of Surgeons. He holds faculty appointments as an instructor in ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, a clinical professor at the University of Arizona, and a clinical assistant professor at Creighton University School of Medicine. Committed to clinical research, he is a principal investigator on the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
