Dr. Jad Ayash is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who enjoys turning complicated eye problems into clear, step-by-step plans. At UMass Chan’s Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, he treats the full spectrum of corneal disease and offers both routine and complex cataract surgery. Dr. Ayash completed ophthalmology residency at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center and advanced fellowship training in ophthalmic genetics at Harvard Medical School, as well as two fellowships in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Park Avenue Laser Vision and at the Callahan Eye Hospital, University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is fluent in English and Arabic. His clinical interests include corneal transplantation, ocular surface reconstruction and tumors, and refractive surgery.
