Dr. Jacqueline Lucas

Dr. Jacqueline Lucas is a recognized eyecare specialist in the East Valley. She developed a strong desire to help people from a young age, which led her to pursue a career in optometry. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Physiological Optics and Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University, she gained experience in multiple clinical settings. In these roles, she treated a variety of medical eye conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye care, and provided pre- and post-surgical care for cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, and diabetic laser procedures.

In 2007, Dr. Lucas opened her own practice, Focused on Eyes, to provide a different approach to eye care with personalized treatment plans. Her practice is known for a warm and welcoming environment and emphasis on patient education. She has recently added a Center for Dry Eye and Ocular Aesthetics. Dr. Lucas also serves as a supplemental consultant at the Mayo Clinic, where she manages urgent and emergent ocular conditions and is knowledgeable about the ocular effects of chemotherapy. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to providing the highest quality, patient-centered care.
