Dr. Jacob Mong

Dr. Mong is a cataract, LASIK, and glaucoma surgeon who believes patients deserve both excellent outcomes and a clear understanding of their options. Raised in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, he brings a local perspective and a steady, patient-first approach to surgical planning.

His training includes medical school in Michigan and an ophthalmology residency in Detroit. Dr. Mong’s experience includes caring for complex ocular and facial trauma and managing uncommon eye diseases, as well as refining surgical skills through opportunities to work in multiple regions around the world. As an osteopathic surgeon, he emphasizes whole-person care and takes time to connect each treatment recommendation to a patient’s goals, lifestyle, and comfort level.
