About Me
H. Nida Sen, MD, MHS is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She completed her medical education at Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Turkey and her ophthalmology residency at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, where she received multiple awards and honors. Dr. Sen further specialized through a fellowship in Uveitis and Retina at the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Sen designs and manages clinical trials in ocular immunology and uveitis, serving as principal investigator on studies investigating new treatments for uveitis and the mechanisms of inflammatory eye diseases associated with conditions like Behcet's disease, sarcoidosis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis. She has received many awards for her research and achievements and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Dr. Sen is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Uveitis Society, dedicated to finding new and better treatments for inflammatory diseases of the eye.
