About Me
Dr. Hassan Khojasteh is a fellowship-trained retina specialist with a robust background in academic ophthalmology, advanced retinal surgery, and clinical research. His training includes advanced fellowships at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute—consistently ranked the #1 eye hospital in the United States—and Stanford University School of Medicine, where he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal diseases and multidisciplinary care.
Dr. Khojasteh previously served as a faculty member at the renowned Farabi Eye Hospital and Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where he played a leading role in training ophthalmology residents and retina fellows. He also served as Director of Electrophysiology and Inherited Retinal Diseases, overseeing the diagnosis and management of complex genetic and electrophysiologic retinal conditions. Throughout his career, he has contributed extensively to the field of retina through peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and invited lectures, and continues to serve as a reviewer for leading ophthalmology journals.
