About Me
Dr. Hasanain Shikari is the director of ophthalmic care at Arete Clinics. He earned his medical degree at Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Laxmi Eye Institute & Laxmi Charitable Trust, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Shikari then pursued advanced training at Harvard University, including a Clinical Research fellowship at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and a Clinical Fellowship in Vitreo-retina at Beetham Eye Institute, Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Shikari has authored numerous journal publications and textbook chapters and has lectured at national and international meetings. He has been recognized with several awards for his presentations and community service. He is also the founder of Arete Outreach, a health awareness campaign that provides free eye check-ups and educational sessions for underprivileged groups, including the disabled, children, the elderly, and diabetics.
