About Me
Dr. Krohel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of patients with neuro-ophthalmological conditions and oculoplastic needs. He treats a variety of eye conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, and vitreo-retinal diseases, and has a particular focus on geriatric ophthalmology and the management of patients on Plaquenil.
With advanced fellowship training in orbital disease and neuro-ophthalmology, Dr. Krohel brings specialized expertise to his practice. He has published over 100 articles in neuro-ophthalmology and orbital disease and has authored a book on orbital disease. Throughout his career, he has held academic leadership positions, served as a professor, and received awards including the American Academy of Ophthalmology Medal of Honor and the Teacher of the Year award. He provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on his patients' visual health and quality of life.
