Dr. Gautam Kamthan is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who has been providing medical and surgical eye care for nearly a decade in New Jersey and New York. His clinical practice focuses on cataract surgery, including laser and refractive techniques, and he has particular expertise in managing high-risk cataracts, repairing complications from cataract surgery, and reconstructing the anterior segment of the eye.

Dr. Kamthan completed his medical degree with honors and his ophthalmology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He now holds faculty appointments as an Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai Medical Center and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he is actively involved in surgical education and training of residents.
