About Me
Dr. Frederick J. Sauerburger is a board-certified ophthalmologist and founder of his practice in Waldorf, Maryland, established in 1980. With extensive experience in cataract surgery, he designed the Sauerburger I/A Tip, an innovative device for cataract procedures, and performed Southern Maryland's first double lens implant surgery in 1998. Dr. Sauerburger has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as a Top Doctor in Ophthalmology multiple times.
He provides comprehensive eye care, including cataract evaluation and surgery, lens implants, and management of a range of eye conditions. Dr. Sauerburger is affiliated with MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center and the University of Maryland Capital Region Surgery Center, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
