About Me
Dr. Evelyn Icasiano is a board-certified ophthalmologist offering a broad spectrum of comprehensive eye care. She has special interests in cataract surgery and laser vision correction, utilizing advanced techniques to improve vision.
Dr. Icasiano earned her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School after graduating with honors from Rutgers University. She completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent Hospital, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Cook County Hospital. Her specialized training includes a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Currently, she serves as an adjunct attending physician at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Dr. Icasiano is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She has been recognized as a "Rising Star" in ophthalmology by New York Super Doctors since 2013.
Proficient in Spanish, Dr. Icasiano has also contributed to medical missions, providing eye care services in underserved areas. She is dedicated to delivering personalized and compassionate care to her patients.
