Dr. Erik Niemi

Dr. Erik W. Niemi is a board-certified ophthalmologist serving patients in Southwestern Vermont and Western Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a transitional internship at Madigan Army Medical Center followed by an eye surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Niemi served nine years in the U.S. Army, where he was clinic commander in Germany and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.

Dr. Niemi is a diplomate of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, reflecting his expertise in cataract and refractive surgery. He provides comprehensive eye care, diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions. He has been practicing in the area since 2003 and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
