Dr. Erica Woertz

Dr. Erica N. Woertz is an ophthalmology resident physician at the University of Utah’s John A. Moran Eye Center. She provides comprehensive eye care under the supervision of faculty subspecialists and enjoys partnering with patients to explain findings, review imaging together, and choose practical treatment plans. Dr. Woertz completed an MD and PhD at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where her doctoral work explored vision science and neuro-ophthalmic disease. At Moran, she cares for a wide range of conditions—from common refractive concerns and dry eye to glaucoma and retinal disease—while gaining additional surgical and research experience. Patients can expect unhurried visits, clear next steps, and close follow-up with the Moran team.
