Dr. Eric Peterson

Dr. Faheem Ahmed is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for patients in Northern Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rice University, earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, and went on to an ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, following internship at Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Ahmed specializes in advanced cataract surgery using femtosecond laser technology and premium lens implants, as well as LASIK and PRK for vision correction. He also manages glaucoma, external eye disease, and a wide range of general ophthalmology needs. Patients appreciate his calm, detailed explanations and his focus on helping them choose the treatment option that best fits their goals, whether that means reducing dependence on glasses, protecting long-term vision, or both.

Dr. Felix Kung is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides general eye care for adults, including medical and surgical management of common eye conditions. Born and raised in Warren, New Jersey, he completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Duke University. He then earned his medical degree from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, and went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital / Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Kung offers routine eye examinations, diabetic eye evaluations, cataract surgery, glaucoma care, and treatment for dry eye disease. He takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options in clear language so that patients feel informed and empowered in managing their eye health. Dr. Kung believes that a strong physician–patient relationship, grounded in communication and trust, is essential to helping patients maintain good vision and return to the activities they enjoy.

Dr. Amritha Sundaresan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who cares for adults of all ages in Falls Church, Virginia. She evaluates and treats patients with routine and complex cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration and many other common eye conditions. Dr. Sundaresan completed the highly competitive combined Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine eight-year medical program, graduating summa cum laude from Rice and earning her medical degree from Baylor. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at Washington University School of Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where she was recognized as one of the strongest surgeons in her program. In addition to her clinical work, she has authored scientific articles and presented research at national and international ophthalmology meetings. Dr. Sundaresan enjoys working closely with each patient to explain findings, answer questions and build a treatment plan tailored to their goals. She is proficient in Spanish and conversational in Telugu, which helps her connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
