Dr. Eric Putnoi

Dr. Eric Putnoi is a comprehensive ophthalmologist providing eye care at Putnoi Eye Care. A native of Newton, Massachusetts, he followed his father into the practice of ophthalmology. He graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honors Society. He completed an internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and surgical residency training at Boston Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Since finishing his training in 2005, he has been working in private practice in the Boston suburbs.

Dr. Putnoi has expertise in cataract surgery, being one of the first in the area to use the Femtosecond Laser and advanced technology intraocular lenses. He also provides diagnosis and treatment for glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye exams. He performs surgery at Surgisite in Waltham and at Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Dr. Putnoi is board certified in ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
