About Me
Dr. Eric Chin is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist who believes medicine is challenging because every patient is different. He enjoys discussing the pros and cons of various treatment options and making collaborative decisions with patients to achieve the best possible results.
Dr. Chin is trained in all aspects of vitreoretinal medicine and surgery, as well as uveitis and ocular tumors. He serves as Clinical Faculty at Loma Linda University and the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Hospital, teaching residents and giving lectures. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts and is a member of many professional societies.
A native of Northern California, Dr. Chin earned his bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of California Berkeley and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of California Davis and his surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Iowa, receiving several accolades for his teaching and research during his training.
