About Me
Dr. Eric A. Steele is an ophthalmologist at OHSU who specializes in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery. He cares for patients with a range of conditions affecting the eyelids, orbit, and tear ducts, including orbital inflammatory disease, thyroid eye disease, and eyelid tumors. His approach to care is informed by his extensive research on orbital inflammation and eyelid surgery, which has been published in leading ophthalmology journals.
Dr. Steele completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at the Casey Eye Institute, OHSU, followed by a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at the same institution. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Steele's research has explored the genetic and inflammatory pathways of orbital disease, as well as surgical outcomes in eyelid and orbital procedures. He provides both medical and surgical management for these conditions.
