Dr. Drew Scoles

Drew H. Scoles, MD, PhD, is a vitreoretinal surgeon and physician with the Division of Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He cares for pediatric and adolescent patients with retinal disorders, combining advanced imaging with evidence-based treatments tailored to the needs of growing eyes.

Dr. Scoles earned his MD and PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester, completed internship at Lankenau Hospital, ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute (University of Pennsylvania), and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship with Associated Retinal Consultants.

He maintains an active academic profile, with peer-reviewed work spanning retinal detachment, inherited retinal disease, and retinopathy of prematurity.
