About Me
Dr. Diem Bui is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery, currently accepting new patients by referral at Kaiser Permanente in California's Central Valley. Her personal experience growing up in Vietnam, where she witnessed family members lose vision to treatable conditions like cataracts, fuels her commitment to preserving and restoring eyesight. With a unique background in computer science from Cornell University and prior work as a software engineer, she brings a meticulous and analytical approach to eye care.
Dr. Bui completed her medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine and a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at Emory Eye Center in Atlanta. She has practiced in Phoenix and is now dedicated to serving patients at Kaiser Permanente, aiming to provide the compassionate care she would want for her own family. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, baking, and sampling diverse cuisines.
