Dr. Debra Laprad

Dr. Debra LaPrad is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and partner at Eye Associates of the South. She specializes in cataract surgery and the treatment of glaucoma, offering advanced procedures such as iStent implantation and PanOptix trifocal lens replacement. Dr. LaPrad provides a wide range of eye care services, including annual eye exams, diabetic eye exams, correction of eyelid disorders, and oculoplastics or "eye plastics" procedures. She also performs medical Botox treatments for spasms and manages pre- and post-operative care for various eye surgeries.

Dr. LaPrad treats both adult and pediatric patients, making her practice suitable for entire families. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University and the Ochsner Program in New Orleans, after earning her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
