About Me
Deborah Alcorn, MD, is an ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric eye conditions and genetic eye disorders. She holds the title of Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Stanford University Medical Center, Emerita, reflecting her distinguished career. Dr. Alcorn completed her medical training at the University of Iowa and her ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and ocular genetics.
Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of strabismus, congenital cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, and genetic eye diseases such as tuberous sclerosis and congenital stationary night blindness. She has been actively involved in research aimed at improving the understanding and treatment of these conditions.
