Dr. David Salib

Dr. David Salib is a board-certified and fellowship-trained vitreo-retinal specialist. He treats patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and other sight-threatening disorders related to the retina and vitreous portion of the eye.

Dr. Salib joined Virginia Eye Consultants in 2008. He relocated to the Hampton Roads area from California, where he had been in private practice and also served as an attending physician in the Loma Linda University Department of Ophthalmology. During his time there, he was involved in extensive clinical research in vitreo-retinal diseases and published numerous professional journal articles.

He enjoys the challenge of making a difference for patients and looks forward to introducing the latest advances in treatment, especially in the area of macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. With new advances, it is more possible than ever to not just stabilize patients' vision, but to actually improve it.
