Dr. David Ball

Dr. David C. Ball is an ophthalmologist at Des Moines Eye Surgeons in West Des Moines, Iowa. He provides medical and surgical care for a range of eye conditions, with a focus on glaucoma, cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and laser surgery for diabetes and glaucoma.

Dr. Ball completed his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical School and went on to train in ophthalmology at Loyola University. He later completed a glaucoma fellowship at Washington University, becoming the first fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist to practice full-time in Des Moines. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and serves as a clinical instructor at Washington University, where he teaches advanced techniques in glaucoma and cataract surgery. Dr. Ball has also been involved in clinical research and has published work.
