About Me
Dr. Daniel Garibaldi is a board-certified ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon practicing with Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island. He previously served as Assistant Chief of Service and Clinical Instructor at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he supervised resident training, directed an oculoplastics subspecialty clinic, and served as Assistant Director of the trauma service. Dr. Garibaldi graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University and earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University. He completed an internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital, an ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute, and a two-year fellowship in oculoplastic, orbital, and reconstructive surgery at Wilmer.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Garibaldi has been active in ophthalmic research and teaching. He has published numerous articles and book chapters, given academic presentations, and served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. He is a past President of the Nassau Surgical Society and has been the program director for the oculoplastic section of the Kiawah Eye meeting.
