About Me
Dr. Mamta V. Shah is a board-certified ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Schlessinger Eye & Face. She was born and raised in New York and is excited to serve her very own community. Dr. Shah graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and earned her medical degree at the same institution.
She completed a residency in Ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate and an Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh. As an oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. Shah focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive surgical and non-surgical procedures designed to improve the appearance and function of the eyelids and face. Her extensive training in ophthalmology and advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery provide patients with specialized eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation, with the comfort of knowing they have a specialist who is medically trained in vision protection.
The procedures Dr. Shah performs help address facial injuries, congenital defects, aging changes, and tumors. She has expertise in implants, reconstructing eyelids and eye sockets, correcting eyelid-position abnormalities, removing growths, rebuilding critical ocular structures, and performing aesthetic rejuvenation procedures on the face. In her spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, camping, and running, and is an avid tennis fan.
